Major General Abba Dikko takes over

Major General Abba Dikko on Tuesday took over the mantle of leadership of Operation Lafiya Dole- the joint military force fighting to rid the North East of Boko Haram terrorists.

The change of barton took place at the military control and command center in Maiduguri.

The outgoing theatre commander, Major General Rogers Nicholas was appoiinted December last year.

While speaking at the event, he urged the new theatre commander to sustain the tempo of fight against the insurgents while also making afforts to build on success made so far.

He also thanked the troops for their cooperation while in charge.
