We still remain majority party – APC

 The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has assured its members and supporters that it will continue to consolidate on the majority status in the leadup to the 2019 general elections despite the gale of defections in the National Assembly.

The APC National Publicity Secretary, Malam Bolaji Abdullahi, gave the assurance yesterday in a statement issued in reaction to the defection of 16 senators and 37 House of Respresentatives’ members from the party.

The party, which voiced its respect for the right of every citizen to political association, stated that it remained in firm control of 25 states of the 36 states of the federation and maintained a clear majority in the federal House of Representatives and state assemblies.
