Governorship election: Uneasy calm envelopes Ekiti

As the people of Ekiti State anxiously await the results of the governorship election held on today, apprehension and uneasy calm has taken over the state. 

Our correspondent who went round the state capital, Ado Ekiti after some voting centres had concluded the exercise, observed that everywhere was calm unlike in 2014 when Fayose's supporters had started jubilation. 

Results trickling in indicate that the two strongest political parties are trailing each other with close margin. 

Meanwhile, our correspondent observed deployment of soldiers to flash points in the state to ensure peace is maintained.
