2018 Hajj:Training for operations support officers begins in Bauchi



 A Train-the-trainers Workshop for Local Government Hajj Affairs Officers, Islamic Scholars, Religious Organizations and other Hajj Stakeholders has begun in Bauchi. 

The three-day training workshop was organized by the State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board to ensure the smooth operations of the 2018 Hajj.

Speaking in an opening remark, the State Commissioner for Religious Affairs and Community Relations, Alhaji Ado Sarkin Aska said that Bauchi State Government will continue to give all the necessary support for the success of the 2018 Hajj Operation in the state.

He said that the state government will consolidate on the achievements recorded in the previous Hajj exercises. 

According to him, the previous successes recorded in past could be attributed to the training given to both Hajj officials, Intending Pilgrims through the support of the government. 

On his part, the Special Adviser to the State Governor on Hajj Affairs, Alhaji Tukur Mu'azu said that the support and intervention being given by the State Government for Intending Pilgrims had been yielding positive results.

Also speaking, the Chairman, Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Surveyor Ibrahim Sa'idu Jahun, represented by a member of the Board, Imam Ibrahim Idris said the workshop will help improve the knowledge of the participants ahead of the conduct of this Year's Hajj.

In his address, Director Education and Enlightenment of the Board, Alhaji Bala Ibrahim Sani assured that the Board will equip Intending Pilgrims with basic Hajj knowledge to enable them perform the exercise effectively.
