The Managing Director of the National Emergency Management Agency, Mustapha Maihaja, has called on security agencies to participate in the agency’s rescue operations and other related activities.

Maihaja, represented by the director, Search and Rescue of the agency, Air Commodore AkugbeIyamu,  made the call yesterday in Kano during a visit to the Disaster Rescue Unit of the 73 Battalion Nigerian Army, Janguza Barracks.

“We are here to assess the readiness of this unit in terms of disaster response with a view to having first-hand Information on its challenges for necessary action, “he said.
