Boko Haram kills NEMA staff




The Boko Haram insurgents yesterday, killed a staff of National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) John Iliya in Damasak, Borno state.

Sani Datti, NEMA's Head of Media and Public relations said in a statement on Thursday that the late Iliya was an excavator operator attached to the military. 

According to him, the Director General of NEMA, Engr. Mustapha Maihaja and the management staff have been thrown into mourning following the staff's death. 

Though, he did not state how the staff was killed, he said the DG has dispatched a team to Maiduguri to facilitate the return of his remains to the family.
